Former Republican VP Dick Cheney to vote for Harris

In another US election year, it might have been unthinkable – a promise from one of the Republican party’s most prominent grandees to vote for the democratic candidate.
But now the former US vice president Dick Cheney has announced he intends to do just that, endorsing Kamala Harris.
It’s unclear how much that will bother Donald Trump, who’s long fought against the old-guard establishment of his party, and who’s received a string of good news over recent days.
